Information we collect
When you submit a form, we collect the details you provide, such as name, email, phone, university, program, specialty, location, and clinical notes. Our systems may also record technical and fraud-prevention data such as IP address, user agent, request path, referrer, browser and device details, language settings, approximate session timing, landing and current page URLs, UTM parameters, visitor/session identifiers stored in the browser, and country or network information associated with the request. When available through our IP tools or reverse-proxy headers, that may also include city, region, postal code, timezone, autonomous system number, or organization name.
If you use live chat, that provider processes the conversation according to its own terms.
How we use information
- To review student matching requests and preceptor profiles.
- To contact you by email, phone, or text about your request.
- To operate our internal lead records and support tools.
- To protect the site against spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations when required.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate email, messaging, hosting, security, and internal operations. We may share relevant details with a potential preceptor or student only as needed to explore a possible clinical arrangement. We do not sell your information as a separate consumer data product.
Retention and security
We keep records as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet recordkeeping needs. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Do not submit information you do not want stored for those purposes. Do not send Social Security numbers, full medical records, or other sensitive data that is not required to evaluate a preceptor request.

You may email contact@preceptorfinder.com to update contact details or ask about records we hold. Text messaging: reply STOP to opt out. Some records may be retained when we are required to keep them.
