Use the staged hub
The practicum success hub organizes the same work into five stages if you prefer a checklist view.
What a practicum includes
A practicum is supervised clinical education attached to a course. You complete defined hours with an approved preceptor, document those hours the way the school requires, and finish evaluations. The academic course still belongs to faculty.
Students get stuck when they treat the practicum as “show up once the term starts.” Locating a preceptor, finishing affiliation paperwork, and completing site onboarding often take longer than the first weeks of didactic work.
Plan backward from the deadline
- Application or nomination deadline
- Site onboarding window
- Time needed for outreach and follow-up
- Buffer if the first clinician says no
